Eclipse shortcuts

Eclipse shortcuts


If not in life, at least in eclipse, there are some shortcuts!

  1. Ctrl M - maximize
  2. Ctrl Shift B - breakpoint
  3. Ctrl Shift / - collapse all
  4. Ctrl Shift * - expand all
  5. Ctrl Shift F - auto-format
    1. Increase the max line width to 1000 to have all the code in a single line
    2. Go to Window > Preferences > Java > Code Style > Formatter > Edit
  6. String formatting
    1. Go to Window > Preferences > Java > Editor > Typing
      1. Escape text when pasting into string
  7. Ctrl / - Toggle Line Comment
  8. Alt Shift R > Rename Variable
  9. Ctrl 1 - Show error resolution
  10. Alt + Shift + Up Arrow - Select entire string
  11. Ctrl + Shift + P - Jump to Closing Brace
